Brain-textured ceramic tumbler
Support a living BIPOC artist. Made by a BIPOC ceramic sculptor who makes unique, limited pottery once in a blue as a fun way to experiment with new glaze combos, which are then used on sculpture.
Holds 10 ounces of liquid. 4.75" H x 3.75" W rim. Base is 1.75" W.
This is a wheel-thrown stoneware clay cup with a red-brown glaze on the inside, rim and bottom, and a white crawl with clear glaze over on the outside. You can use it for hot/boiling or cold beverages or as a planter. It was fired to cone 6 (2232 degrees F). It’s microwaveable safe. Not sure about the dishwasher since I don’t own one and don’t know what it would do to the crawl (brain-texture) glaze over time. It's best to just hand-wash it.
